I feel like I have taken such a long break from blogging that I might need to re-introduce myself...

Anyway, sorry for disappearing. I actually really, really enjoy writing a blog. I just forget to do it sometimes (most times....)! Work's been so crazy that when I get home, I hardly feel like cracking open a computer.
But it's already been a year to remember, especially because we added this guy to the family:
Fletcher B. Peltier
This means that Justin and I haven't slept straight through the night in 2 weeks..and it also means that I am back to being my alter ego, Elmyra, because I love him so much it probably pains him.
In other news, I've still been having fun with house stuff. I am that girl who moves around the decorations I already own because I get great joy from decorating, even if I have to do it for $0.
I recently went to Canton with Kat - it was amazing - and I found this store called "Okey Dokey General Store" who sells furniture made out of old doors. I bought this bookcase and I am on a mission to buy a second one:

They also have these bar/islands made out of old French doors and I called Stan, the guy who works there, to see if he would ever so kindly deliver a bookcase and a bar to Houston...we'll see how Stan feels about that. I guess it wouldn't pain me to march my happy bottom up to Canton to pick them up, if need be.
But their prices are beyond reasonable. If you have a chance to go to Canton, make sure you stop by their booth! I'll post pictures if Stan makes a visit to Houston.
